Principal’s Message

 Welcome to Smt. Chandaben Mohanbhai Patel Homoeopathic  Medical College and Shree Mumbadevi Homoeopathic Hospital,  the premier and reputed homoeopathic institutuion in the country.

 It was founded in 1957 by Late Shri Mangaldas Pakwasa with the  object of establishing a medical college and hospital and  charitable dispensary, which would pave the way for spread of  scientific homoeopathic practice and research. In 1960, a giant  leap was taken to acquire 17000 ft of land at Vile Parle, Bombay (  (Mumbai) to establish the homoeopathic complex.

This institution imparts QUALITY homoeopathic medical education at undergraduate level in the country. The Institute runs the BHMS course and has an intake capacity of 100 students per year. The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and Central Council of Homoeopathy.   

We take pride in our infrastructure, facilities, teaching faculty, students, library facilities, support system with excellent teaching and learning environment for all-round development of our students.

Our focus is to impart high levels of learning, comprehension, analysis and application of knowledge. We look forward to wider range of opportunities to stretch beyond classroom teaching, through greater participation in various educational visits, seminars, medical conferences, camps, etc. There is also a great participation of students in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Our Hospital provides OPD and IPD training to students and interns with preventive, promotive and curative homoeopathic health care and training in classical pure Hahnemannian homoeopathic treatment. We emphasize on Hands-On-Training in clinical skills for which we have a 25 bedded hospital and see more than 250 patients a day in the OPDs. Our emphasis is on developing the right kind of attitude and humane approach in treating the sick and needy.

Research is the foundation for growth and evolution and a way of giving back to the system and enriching it. The institute is regularly involved in research and publications along with evidence based homoeopathy and Drug Trials.

Our alumni, who are the real ambassadors of homoeopathy, are well placed in their personal and professional lives in India, as well as globally. Their success stories encourages us to work more and are our biggest reward.
